The 2016 Most Valuable Student contest will come to a close the weekend of April 22-24, 2016.
The top 20 Most Valuable Student Finalists will take Chicago by storm in April to interview with the national judges for the top awards of $30,000, $40,000 and $50,000. Each scholar attending the weekend will be awarded at least $20,000 to support their college dreams.
The 2016 Most Valuable Student Leadership Weekend will include a visit to the Elks Veterans Memorial, service at the Jesse Brown V.A. Medical Center, and a dinner cruise on Lake Michigan.
From Hawaii to Connecticut, these students have started their own non-profit organizations, interviewed high-profile figures including a former president, and have overcome many obstacles, all while achieving academically and strengthening their communities beyond the four walls of their high school.
