How to: Pack Database Tables

On occasion it is necessary to pack the database tables that CLMS - Chicago Lodge Membership System uses. Packing the tables will remove space being held by deleted records. This process can speed up database performance as well as reduce the overall size of the Chicago Lodge Membership System database. Only deleted records are removed so no valuable data is lost in the process. To pack the Chicago Lodge Membership System database you will need to perform the following steps.

Packing the Chicago Lodge Membership System Database Tables

Step 1

Select the "Pack tables" menu option from the system's "Tools" menu as shown in the image below.

Step 2

Click the OK button on the resulting message box as shown in the image below. That's all there is to it. While the database tables are being packed you will be shown progress indication and the time to pack the tables should be minimal so please be patient while it completes the packing process.
