Elks Scholar Service Trips are back! Elks scholars came together for a miniature summer service trip in Chicago.
The mini summer service trip in Chicago took place July 20-23, 2021. Scholars stayed at the Chicago Getaway Hostel, in the heart of Lincoln Park—Chicago’s youngest and most popular neighborhood. The scholars served with various community organizations, including Care for Friends, the Night Ministry, Humble Design, and Lincoln Park Community Services. When not volunteering, scholars got to explore Chicago by riding bikes along Lake Michigan, voyaging on a sunset Chicago Architecture boat tour, and eating deep-dish pizza in Millenium Park. Each night, the day ended with meaningful programming and reflection. The scholars even took a trip to the Elks National Foundation headquarters!
To stay safe, all scholars provided proof of vaccination.
