Elks Alumnus of the Year Award
We know that after graduation, Elks scholars continue to serve their communities. That is why we are offering the Elks Alumnus of the Year Award, designed to recognize one outstanding Elks alumnus who has made a difference through volunteering or commitment to community. The recipient of this award will receive formal recognition during the 2010 Elks Grand Lodge Convention in Orlando, Fla., and a $500 grant to be donated to a charity of the alumnus’ choice. He or she will also serve as an honorary member of the Elks Scholar Advisory Board for one year. “I hoped that since the Elks National Foundation was willing to invest in my education, someday I could make the ENF proud of my career path," says 2001 Most Valuable Student Christina Vuocolo, the 2009-10 Elks Alumna of the Year. "That’s what makes winning the Elks Alumnus of the Year award so rewarding.” Click here to read Christina's story. To be eligible for the Elks Alumnus of the Year award, you must have graduated from your undergraduate university by December 31, 2009. In order to receive the award, you should be available to travel to Orlando (all expenses paid for you and a guest of your choice) for the 2010 Elks Grand Lodge Convention from Friday, July 2, 2010, through Monday, July 5, 2010. If you are an outstanding Elks alumnus and would like to be recognized, please complete the brief Alumnus Award application below. The deadline to apply is April 15, 2010 at 11:59 p.m. Central Time.
