Want to make long-term change that has an impact?
One of the ENVSC’s main roles is to run the Elks Emergency Assistance Fund, which provides rent and utility assistance to veterans at risk of losing their housing otherwise. This type of financial assistance is shown to be remarkably effective at helping families stay housed and prevent homelessness.

Looking for a chance to provide direct service?
As part of the fellowship, the ENVSC fellow has the unique opportunity to choose an area of service according to their interests; they spend two days a week providing meaningful direct service to veterans while building skills in career fields of interest.
Past fellows have worked in the VA hospital emergency room, at the VA food pantry, at Veterans Treatment Court, and at a resource center and transitional shelter for veterans experiencing homelessness.

Our members are located across the country in both urban and rural areas, and the needs in each community are diverse. The ENVSC provides grants and opportunities for Elks members to get involved and meet the unique needs of veterans in their own communities.
The ENVSC fellow helps Elks members navigate our Welcome Home Kit program to provide household supplies for local veterans becoming housed in their areas.

YouTube and more.
