Beacon Grant 2021
Goldsboro Elks Lodge #139 donated our Beacon Grant to Kriquette's Kidz Christmas Event to ease the financial burden of families living in poverty and to bring the spirit of Christmas into the lives of children living within our community. On the day of the event, parents received Visa gift cards and were taken shopping by Elks lodge members and other community volunteers. While parents shopped, their children attended a Christmas party at a partner church that included lunch and a visit from Santa. At the end of the event, families received a Christmas box that included a turkey and all fixings for Christmas dinner, as well as household and personal hygiene essentials. In total, this event helped over 400 local families have a joyful Christmas
