A December 16 Eagle Scout Court of Honor in Kearney Nebraska

Pictured left to right: Assistant Scout Master and father Patrick McLaughlin, Jacob and Connor McLaughlin, and Doug Kramer, Leading Knight with Kearney Elks Lodge #984.  Kearney Elks #984 presents each Eagle Scout from Troop 158 with with a United States Flag flown over the US Capital and a Certificate of Merit from our Grand Exalted Ruler.

Jacob's Eagle Scout Project consisted of planning and organizing volunteers to build a 240 foot, handicapped accessible concrete sidewalk at Fort Kearney State Park.  This project involved 35 scouts & adults and totaled 203 hours. Jacob's project connected to his brother Connor's project.

Connor planned, fund raised, and purchased materials for a 15' x 16' handicapped accessible fishing dock on Lake #5 at Fort Kearney State Park.  The project involved 153 total hours with a total of 8 scouts and adults assisting.
