Flag retirement ceremony held in Lordsburg
The lodge performed a Flag Retirement ceremony in honor of Flag Day. The Veterans and Americanism committees then respectfully retired hundreds of worn, torn and tattered flags in a patriotic flag burning ceremony. Above, Louis Montenegro and Eddie Barka (Tiler) and below, Tyler Massey (Trustee Chairman) and Thomas Hood (PER) respectfully destroy the old flags.
The event also served as the Lordsburg Lodge’s official visit from NMEA President Dan Gerth and his wife Connie. The Gerths joined 1813 officers in a C&B Trust Ribeye Steak Dinner and even led a fun “Heads or Tails” fundraiser later that evening.
