FLAG DAY CEREMONY HELD
The Mountain Home Elks Lodge held its annual Flag Day ceremony Sunday June 14th over 40 guests attended and 18 worn flags were brought to the lodge to be properly retired.
The program presented the glorious history of our flags from the earliest day of the Revolutionary War to the current day. The program included all the historic flags of our nation.
The history of the Arkansas flag was also given. Arkansas became the 25th state 179 years ago on June 15th 1836.
Thanks to all that participated in the ceremony, and a big THANK YOU to radio station KTLO for promoting the event.
