Ruiz advances to State Hoop Shoot
Four local Elks Hoop Shoot winners traveled to Deming on January 18, 2014 for the NMEA Southwest District Hoop Shoot. Taking first place in the 8-9 year old boys category and moving on to the State Hoop Shoot was Ryan Ruiz. Alysha Widby (10-11) and Angel Rodriguez (12-13) each took second place in their age group and will serve as runner ups if the first place shooter cannot attend the State Hoop Shoot in Albuquerque on February 16, 2014.
