CONGRATULATIONS to our newly initiated Member, Bro. Herbert John Betz III proposed by PER Theodore V. Awad. When he is in country we look forward to his attendance at out Lodge meetings and active participation in Lodge/Club activities.

PROPOSITIONS for MEMBERSHIP – have received Mr. Jessell “Jay” Aguilar proposed by PER Theodore Awad and Bro. Thomas Lee.

AWAITING INDOCTRINATION and INITIATION – Mr. David J. Casnave proposed by PER Theodore V. Awad and Bro. Thomas Lee.

OFFICE ESTEEMED LECTURING KNIGHT – Bro. Jeffery A. Green was elected to fill the position for the balance of Lodge Year 2008-2009.

VACANCY OFFICE TILER - Nominations/Elections for – because of the absence of Bro. Joseph Frances for three (3) months without advice/reason, the Exalted Ruler declared the Office of Tiler vacant. Nominations were opened for said position and Bro. Charles Robinson was nominated. Additional nominations may be made at our next Lodge meeting 01 Oct and elections will be held thereafter.

IN GOOD STANDING - The subject was discussed at the 17 Sept 2008 Lodge Meeting. Per Grand Lodge advice it means an Elk is current with the payment of his Lodge dues. It has no reference to his Club account which being a separate entity has its own regulations. Club Facility per Rules and Regulations Section I BILLS:
1. On the first day of the month, bills incurred during the preceding month and fees for the current month are due on the 26th day of the month, bills are considered past due. Delinquents may be posted on the Club facility Bulletin Board and no further credit will be extended after this day. Delinquents are authorized to use the facilities but they will be required to pay by cash or credit card until delinquency is lifted.

On the basis of the above, the names of those Elks and Club members who have not settled their monthly accounts by the 26th of the month will REPEAT will be posted and will be so informed by the Staff that service will only be rendered by credit card or cash basis payment first. For your guidance Section I BILLS is posted on the bulletin board opposite the restrooms.

It is suggested that all concern do not become delinquent with their Club accounts.

ELKS MEMBERSHIP/FELLOWSHIP COCKTAIL NITE – Thursday, 6 November 2008 (6-8pm) – Let us all work together to attain our goal to increase our Membership; invite a prospective member and introduce our organization and Club Facility! Our Lodge success lies in your hands! Complimentary food and drinks will be served as our way of showing your guests the best of the Elks Club in a very informal atmosphere. You may be the lucky winner of our weekly cash prize raffle.
