After the elections and due to the late advice that the nominee, Bro. Jeffery Green had declined his nomination for Tiler new nominations were then taken at our 20 Feb meeting. They were Bro. Mariano M. Martin and Bro. Joseph A. Frances. Bro. Martin has withdrawn. Therefore, if Bro. Frances does not decline, he will be formally elected at our 05 March meeting.
PUBLIC INSTALLATION of Elected and Appointed Officers for the Lodge Year 2008-2009 will be held immediately following our Lodge Meeting on Wednesday, 26 March repeat 26 March 2008. Names of Appointed Officers and Committeemen will be announced later. Dress: Long sleeve Barong or coat & Tie.
Those inviting Guests must advise the Secretary’s office prior to 24 March2008 to ensure proper arrangement are made.
DUES 2008-2009 – We would appreciate that the members will not wait until the last minute to pay the Annual Dues USD200 plus the Grand Lodge Per Capita USD8 for the Lodge Year 2008-2009 in FULL or the first half USD108 including the per capita. NOTE: For a Member to attend any and/or all Stated Lodge Meetings between 01 April and 01 October 2008 or 01 April 2009 he must be in Good Standing i.e. his Dues Card should read either Valid until 01 OCTOBER 2008 or 01 APRIL 2009. Life Members are required to pay their Annual Per Capita USD8 by 01 April 2008 to be in Good Standing to attend any/or all Stated Lodge Meetings between 01 April 2008 to 01 April 2009.
Informatively, we are required to pay the Grand Lodge Annual Per Capita together with our Membership Report to be postmarked prior 01 May to preclude the payment of US$100 penalty for late submission. Note: The exchange rate will be Php42.00/USD1.00 unless there is a drastic change for the whole 2008-2009 Lodge Year as per Lodge approval 6 Feb 2008.

NOTE: 19 March 2008 Third Wednesday Lodge Meeting - in the observance of Holy Week the Brethren present at the 6th Feb Lodge Meeting agreed to move same to the 4th Wednesday, 26 March 2008 repeat 26 March 2006 at 6:30pm.

DUES 2007-2008 FINAL WARNING - We regret to advise that we still have six (6) Regular Members delinquent in the payment of USD208 Annual dues/Per Capita. As such, UNLESS THEY ARE PAID IN FULL by 31 March 2008, they will be DROPPED from our Roster.
IRS - Per AMCHAM the IRS website has given the exchange rate as Php42.30/USD1.00 for the computation of 2007 Income Tax Return.
ELKS VISA CARD - The Grand Lodge has sent us application forms for “Elks Visa Affinity Card Partnership with US Bank National Assoc., ND.
For those Members who apply and their application is approved for the new Elks Visa Card the Grand Lodge Headquarters will send USD10.00 directly to the Lodge.
There are 3 types of cards, annual minimum income required is USD7,200.00.
For those who did not receive an application at the 6 Feb Lodge Meeting, if interested please pass the Secretary’s Office for details. We must be advised by 1 March, the numbers of interested Members.
PACQUIAO – MARQUEZ FIGHT - Sunday, March 16, 2008 at 8:00AM (Manila Time)

5th Annual President’s Cup Golf Tournament - Manila Elks will hold its 5th Annual President’s Cup Golf Tournament at Tagaytay Highlands on Thursday, 27 March, 2008, Tee Time: 9:00AM, Format: 4-Man Texas Scramble, Fee: Php3,000.00 per person (includes: bus service, green fee, caddy, cart, raffle, snacks and dinner). Dinner and Awarding will be at the Elks Club after the tournament. Note: Bus transportation will depart from the Elks Club 7:00AM sharp repeat 7:00AM.
