ELKS NATIONAL FOUNDATION (ENF) - We have just received our 16th Consecutive “Best Grand Lodge Area” Award. We are pleased to advise that the amount of the funds which ENF has advised us that we will be receiving when compared to the amount contributed by our members and credited to Manila Lodge No. 761 the amount is 2.89% more. This proves that the statement “the amount one contributes may be small but the rewards to our beneficiaries are large” in our appeal letters is true.
We are almost at the half way mark for this 2007-2008 Lodge year appeal. Your contributions are lagging. Therefore, it would be appreciated if you would please reconsider being more generous than you have been in the past so we can receive our 17th recognition award and our beneficiaries swill be happier. We regret to advise that ENF has advised us the names of our members who have never and/or seldom contribute. Please ensure that your name does not appear in these categories. On behalf of the beneficiaries we thank you in advance for your favorable action. It would be appreciated that our members please send their dollar check contribution to Elks National Foundation, 2750 N. Lakeview Ave., Chicago, IL 60614-1889 or if contributing in pesos, please use Php49.00/US$1.00 rate of conversion and pass the Secretary’s office. We will issue our check to ENF and mail your contribution to the above stateside address.
DUES 2007-2008 - Reminder – the next Status Report of our membership is fast approaching and if those who are currently delinquent do not act favorably, you will be reported as such to the Grand Lodge in that periodic Membership Report.
“In the past we have been lenient in not posting this adverse info, but if we have to embarrass someone by posting thus to facilitate the immediate settlement of their obligation, we will do that in the future”. Thus, a word to the wise should be sufficient and we look forward to the prompt/favorable action of all concerned.
