The House Committee is in full swing working to bring activities to you. So far we have had a very successful March Karaoke and Birthday Night. We will have one each month on the second Saturday of the Month. “John D” does a fantastic job and we have great singers and entertainers perform. Please bring you newsletter the month of your birthday to enjoy a drink on the House and don’t forget to stay for the music and entertainment.
Tuesday is Bingo Night, WOW, is it a blast!!! Wednesday is Sandwich Night and we will be adding a Grilled or Fried Chicken Salad to the menu. We have also added chips to the pizza that is available in the lounge. Thursday is our Spaghetti Night. We have begun our Friday Happy Hours and Green Games at the pavilion, come down and give the golf balls your best shot. Each Saturday we are having a different function, so pay close attention to Lodge Calendar. April 7 was our first Game Night and I want to thank Mark and Barbara Thompson for bringing “SEEN IT”, a DVD Trivia game about movies. Can’t wait for next month’s Game Night!!!
We have a new addition to our staff, David. He will be handling the janitorial duties. If you get a chance, give him a big Elk welcome. And don’t forget our current staff, Cheryl and Bonnie. We really appreciate the good job they do. Thanks to all our staff.
Ginny Nazworth has made a beautiful poster for our members birthdays each month. Please come down and check it out, your name will be appearing soon. Thanks to Lori Aleno, Debbie Baastad, Kathy Korwes and Barbara Thompson for Volunteering to help at our recent District Deputy Clinic. Great Job, Ladies.
The House Committee is working on several events for the upcoming year and volunteers are always needed. We have a Christmas and New Year’s Eve Party in the planning, Thanksgiving Dinner, in May we will be having our regular events and a Special Mother’s Day event, check you newsletter for more information. Coming in June, look for a Father’s Day Sock Hop and an Inter Lodge Poker Run is in the works. We need your help to make these events a huge success, if you can devote a few hours, please let us know. You can email at the address below or leave me a note at the lodge. Any amount of time or talent you can…VOLUNTEER… is always appreciated.
Don’t forget to use your 2007-2008 Membership Card for entrance at the Lodge and service in the Lounge. Also, please let us know your email address so we can send you the upcoming calendar and events. We want you to visit and use your lodge, so don’t be a stranger. Come down and enjoy yourself. If it has been awhile, we miss your and want you back. If you are a regular, we thank you for your patronage.
I hope that everyone comes to the lodge to enjoy the activities your House Committee and Auxiliary Committee is planning for you. We couldn’t do this without their help. Thanks to all of you. So let them know you appreciate their time by enjoying our Lodge.
