DECEMBERS SECRETARY'S MESSAGE

I can't believe its December already, the months just go by so fast. We had a pretty good year. It could be better if we had a lot more member participation in our functions and weekly activities. The House Committee will be doing a surf and turf dinner sometime in January so watch your bulletin.

I will be sending our dues notices for the new 2006-2007 year about the middle of January. I ask this every year, if you don't intend to renew your membership please let me know before March 31, 2007 so I can issue you an absolute demit.
Otherwise, it will cost the Lodge $13.75 for every member who stays on and I have to eventually drop them, last year I dropped some 65 members and that cost the Lodge $893.75 in revenue.

I would like to thank Rick Phelps, Jack Poirier, PER Tom Hopp, PER Bernie Korwes and Dean Yeager for helping me with our annual cook out at the Emery L Bennet Veterans Nursing Home in Daytona Beach, also Kathy Korwes, Ginny Nazworth, and George Miller for their moral support. Last but not least, Banjo Bob and his Dixie Land Band for entertaining the Veterans. If you can spare two hours a month, Rick can use your help at the Veterans Home every third Tuesday doing bingo.

I would like to thank our employees Cheryl, Madeline and Monica for doing a great job.

I would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a healthy and prosperous New Year.

Fraternally
Joe Marmo
