MARION, Ohio (10/05/04) – Marion Elks Lodge No. 32 is pleased to announce that applications for the Ohio Elks Educational Grants are available at each Marion area high school, technology institutions, colleges and universities, from the local Elks Lodge, or online at the Ohio Elks Web site (http://web-ster.net/ohioelks/). Applications for the 2005 contest have to be submitted to the Marion Elks Lodge by January 14, 2005, with winners announced by May 16, 2005.
The Ohio Elks award 48 $1,000 educational grants. The grants are available to anyone who has completed high school or its equivalent, and not just high school seniors. These grants are for full or part-time students of any age who plan to or currently attend a college, university or Career or Technology Institution.

Requests for additional information should be addressed to Garrison “Muggs” McGinnis, the scholarship chairman of Marion Elks No. 32. Through this state grant and the national Elks scholarship programs, the Elks organization collectively awards over $3 million in scholarships each year.
