Marion Elks Lodge No. 32 has announced that Keith Peppard and Mike Sykes have been awarded the Grand Exalted Ruler Outstanding Service Commendations for the Lodge Year 2003-04. The awards were presented by the Exalted Ruler for the past year, Brad Smith.
“Service to our order is the lifeblood of our organization,” said Smith, “and as exalted ruler, I have the privilege of nominating a maximum of two officers to receive the Grand Exalted Ruler’s Outstanding Service Commendations. Keith Peppard, Esteemed Leading Knight, and Mike Sykes, Esteemed Loyal Knight, were two of my most trusted and leaned upon officers during the Lodge year. They gave unselfishly of their time, and their skills, and a lot of the success of this year is attributable to their volunteerism.”
