From Our ER:

Where did the month of April go? Hard to believe we are in the month of May already.! We have a busy month as we kick off with our annual Kentucky Derby Party, May 2 at 5 pm. Come and pick your favorite horse and who knows, you may be a lucky winner.

May 2nd Kentucky Derby Party 5 pm May 4th House & Trustees 6 pm May 5th Those planning to attend are asked to bring a dish to pass and there will be a cash bar. Also, don’t forget to bring your hats and fedoras!

May 10th is Mothers Day. Nothing ever tops the love and devotion a mother gives to her children. Whether you take “Mom” to dinner, shower her with flowers, or simply spend time with her, let her know how much she is loved and appreciated.

We will kick off Memorial Day weekend, May 23rd , by placing flags beside the graves of our “hero's” who have defended our freedoms at Elmlawn Cemetery on Delaware Ave. We will meet at the cemetery’s Mausoleum at 9 am. (Best way to enter is through side entrance off Brighton).

May 25th (Memorial Day) we will be participating in the Ken-Ton Memorial Day Parade. We will meet at the Lodge by 9 am to decorate our float before leaving for the formation of the parade. Following our return to the lodge, we will be having a cookout for those attending. Please bring a dish to pass. We will also be participating in the”Nationwide. Playing of Taps at 3 pm. Last year we had a great turn out and we are looking for more people to participate this year.

Thank you to all who participated in hosting our State President John Lawless and his partner with a breakfast and visit to our lodge.

Thank you for being an Elk and for your involvement within our lodge. Feel free to share your thoughts with us. We would love to hear your ideas. Please don’t hesitate to let us know.
