The Hilo Elks Lodge is the recipient of the ENF 2025-2026 Freedom Grant to assist the veterans in the community during the Veteran's Day Parade scheduled for Saturday, November 9, 2024. Thank you to PER Robert "Bob" Arthurs in writing for this grant.
The Hilo Elks Lodge received the ENF 2025-2026 Gratitude Grant. We used the funds to put on our annual Christmas Magic Show at the Palace Theater. It is a free program open to the public.
We also received the 2025-2026 Beacon Grant. We use a portion of the funds to fund our Sunday Breakfast which is open to all. Veterans are free and all else pay $5.00 per plate. The other portion of the Beacon Grant was used to fund the after school program at the Boys & Girls Club of the Big Island.
Our lodge received the 2025-206 Spotlight Grant. It was used to fund the Feed the Hunger program that the Big Island Learning and Arts Center has every Sunday with the homeless and less fortunate families living in the Fern Forest area.
It's good that we have again qualified for the Elks National Foundation grants for the 2026-2027 year.
