Elks Home Dedicated With Fine Program
Attorney Luke F. Burns is Principal Speaker—looo Visit Beautiful Building The new Elks home was opened under most auspicious circumstances last Saturday when fully 1000 persons visited the building during the afternoon and evening. Members of the Elks lodge and a number of the wives of the members were on hand to greet the visitors and to show them through the building.
In the evening a program of music and dancing furnished entertainment for a huge throng and dancing followed until midnight. Attorney Luke F. Burns of Virginia gave the dedicatory address. Mr. Burns lauded the lodge on having erected such a beautiful building in the city. Talks were also given by members of the lodge. Entertainment was furnished by Miss Mary Brince, the Cosmos quartette.
Miss Inez Davey, Miss Margaret McDonald, Miss Adeline Zini, and the new Elks band which appeared for the first time. The dedication exercises were in carge of Exalted Ruler Oscar Anderson and the newlv installed officers.
