My Members,
We are now in the heart of summer; it has been a very busy and interesting lodge year so far. All four of the chair officers, secretary, treasurer, chaplain and esquire attended the Massachusetts State Convention in Hyannis. We were pleased to hear that our lodge’s hard work has helped our State Association, and we were encouraged to learn what our new State President has planned for the next year. June was a busy month at the lodge, we held our annual Flag Day celebration and was very well attended by the membership. I thank you to the North Quincy High School ROTC and Legion Posts for helping on flag day. For the first time since 2002 the lodge held a Father’s Day Ceremony / cookout, thank you to all that attended. On June 21st the scholarships award night was held, we had over 100 people in attendance for this event. The guest speaker for the night was the Mass Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll.
We have a few exciting events coming to the Lodge, on August 12th we will have a Jimmy Buffet Night in the members’ lounge. On September 16tn, we will be holding an 80’s day. This event will start with a meat raffle and end with an 80’s DJ. Both will have prizes for best dressed. Please read the rest of the bulletin for more details.
