Happy May all AJ Elks and Happy Mother’s Day to all AJ Elk Mothers!

Again, just a reminder that to make everyone feel more comfortable coming into our Lodge, we have increased our cleaning efforts by sanitizing the bar, bar stools, each table, and chairs after each use and deep cleaning every morning before we open.

In April and already in May, our own Elks Members have been very generous in giving to our Children’s Charities. We have been able to donate $2,500 to Pinal County Jr. Livestock kids and $1,000 of that went to 5 local 4-H kids right here in AJ.  We were also able to donate $5,000 to the Elks National Foundation and $2,000 to the Youth Camp.  The Past Exalted Ruler Committee along with the Arizona Elks Association has awarded $11,500 worth of scholarships to 6 seniors in our area this year.

We had a really good turnout for our Kentucky Derby Party on May 1st and most everyone donated their winnings back from the Red Solo Cup Races.  $417.00 in donations went to the Steele Research Center in Tucson.

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR GENEROUS DONATIONS!!! We couldn’t have done this without you.

REMEMBER…we started a new year on April 1st so I would like to remind everyone to pay their dues and pick up their new membership cards. You don’t want to miss out on all we have happening at the Lodge!

It is with a sad heart that I inform you of the passing of Jackie Phillips on April 27th.  Bob and Jackie’s daughter Kim passed away on April 24th.  Their family is having the memorial service for Bob, Jackie and Kim on May 22nd at 10:00am at the Deseret Chapel United Methodist Church in Apache Junction.

We look forward to seeing everyone at our Lodge events. Check out our calendar on our website to see all we having going on!

Thank you for your continued support.

Respectfully,

Sherry Coker
