Bartlesville, OK Lodge News

ER message February

You took the time to read my January message, thought that sounds like a good idea but decided being an officer is not for you. You just don’t have that kind of time or ambition. Well, take a good look at that table at the right. All of these committees are a big part of the lodge. They require much less of a commitment than being an officer. They also provide the same fulfillment of helping others and making a difference. Some of these activities demand only a couple of planning meetings and one afternoon a year. They are perfect for the busy Elk or the novice who wants to ease into being more active in the lodge. They
come with the wonderful support of written guides that clearly explain how to do the job and the wonderful advice of other lodge members who have been there before. It is formula that guarantees success. Some of the activities those with a shaded background require a bit more of a commitment and make a bigger contribution to lodge success. I am once again appealing to members of less than 3 years in the lodge to chose an activity and make a contribution. One of these diverse causes must appeal
to you. We need you to become involved. You will get more out of your membership and be part of a
wonderful tradition.
