San Francisco Lodge #3 is unique in Elkdom. Located just off Union Square, San Francisco No.3 is one of the few Lodges located in the heart of a city. Dozens of stores featuring the best shopping available are within walking distance of the Lodge. Elk members can indulge themselves in the pleasures of the gym and health spa (or a quiet afternoon in the lounge), while their mates are enjoying the delights of Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom's, Macy's, the Disney Store, Victoria's Secret, Gumps's, and, many more.
Several fabulous, five-star restaurants are also within walking distance of the Lodge: the Farralon(located in our building), Morton's Steakhouse, Sear's, and Lefty O'Doul's, as well as others.
Famous hotels, also, are across the street, or just up the hill: the St. Francis, the Mark Hopkins, the Fairmont and the Sir Francisc Drake, among many others. Our own Lodge is housed in the Kensington Park Hotel, with discounts available for Elk members.
Other tourist attractions are just outside the Lodge: the world famous cable car is right on the corner; Chinatown and North Beach are both within walking distance, and Fisherman's Wharf is just a cable car ride away.
Located in the heart of the city, easy transportation to all parts of San Francisco is right outside the door. Pacific Bell Park and Candlestick Park are a bus ride away, and the Oakland Coliseum is reached within minutes via a ride under San Francisco Bay on the Bay Area's state-of-the-art subway system, BART.
The famous theatre district - the "Broadway of the West" - is a block away. There is also a threatre located in our Lodge building and always has quality entertainment.
