The Elks Lodge hosted a Christmas party for local children Thursday.
Three hundred underprivileged students between 6 and 9 years old from several school districts were selected by the Superintendent of Schools in Kern County.
Those kids got to hang with the Elks and, of course, get presents from Santa Claus who was there handing them out.
The Bakersfield Elks Lodge #266 has hosted a party like this for 80 years.
