Proclamation Day at the Capitol

Monday April 2nd 2018 was Proclamation day for the ELK's here in the State Capital building of Nebraska. Several Elk members from around the state made the trip to the capitol to hear Governor Rickets read 2 Proclamations.
First was to acknolwedge the 150th Aniversary of the Elk's in the U.S. and to Proclaim the weekend of April 27 - 29 2018 as the celebration weekend here in Nebraska.
Second was to proclaim the first week in May as Youth week in Nebraska to help us celebrate all the the youth programs the Elk's support.
While this year is the 150 aniversary for our nation, we, here in Nebraska, are also celebrating our 113 year. The length of time is indicitive of the type of organization the Elk's are. We are doing something right to still be alive and well. Keep up the great work.
