Scholarship Opportunities

WENTZ LEGACY Scholarship Applications due July 22, 2017.This scholarship is for Elks members, their spouses, children, step-children and/or grandchildren. This scholarship is for the 2010-11 academic year and is for $2,000. Requirements: The applicant must be a college junior or senior in an accredited four-year American College or University. Although the applicant may be attending a University elsewhere, the applicant's permanent address must be within the jurisdiction of an Arkansas Elks Lodge. The qualifying Elk must be a member of an Arkansas Lodge. If you are interested in applying for this scholarship, you may receive an application from Cheryl Higginbotham (479-629-1022) copy one off the Lodge's bulletin board in the hallway, or print one off the main website: www.elks.org (then select the scholarship button).  ELKS NATIONAL FOUNDATION'S MOST VALUABLE STUDENT: This scholarship is for ANY high school senior. The student does NOT have to have a family member that is a member of an Elks Lodge. This scholarship offers 500 scholarships ranging from $4,000 to $60,000.

 LEGACY AWARDS This scholarship is for children, stepchildren, or grandchildren of Elks members. There are 250 Legacy Awards given each year in the amount of $4,000 ($1,000 per year for 4 years).

EMERGENCY EDUCATIONAL GRANTS -- for students who have graduated high school and are already attending college fullt ime. This $4,000 per year grant is for children of deceased parent(s) or of parent(s) who have been determined totally disabled. In both cases, the Elk parent must have been a member in good standing for at least one year. Financial need must be proved. Student must be unmarried and 23 years of age or younger. Student must already be attending college full time (12 hours or more).
