Lady Elks Auxiliary

Broken Arrow Lady Elks

The BA Lady Elks celebrated 30 years of service to our community, neighbors, and Oklahoma Eastern District lodges since founded the same year as the BA Elks in 1983. The ladies’ auxiliary helps to support the Elks and lodge in many capacities and is a strong and active organization with over 150 lady members. We encourage spouses of Elk members to consider becoming an active member of our organization. Mission: Our Mission, the essence of the Elks, our focus and our purpose: To inculcate the principles of Charity, Justice, Brotherly Love and Fidelity; to recognize a belief in God; to promote the welfare and enhance the happiness of its members; to quicken the spirit of American patriotism; to cultivate good fellowship; to perpetuate itself as a fraternal organization, and to provide for its government, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the United States of America will serve the people and communities through benevolent programs, demonstrating that Elks Care and Elks Share. Member Qualifications: Must be legally married to an Elk member with paid dues Pay just $10 per year for membership Not mandatory but please consider volunteering at some events or cook nights, and attending lady meetings. This is the best way to get to know other members. Value: Ladies only meet once per month while the Elks meet twice. The ladies’ meeting is always the third Thursday of the month. Receive your own lodge entry card to visit the lodge without your spouse in a safe and secure environment Ladies Christmas party with free drink social hour Reasonably priced food and drinks to get to meet other members who share similar values Some kind of activity most weekends We support and help coordinate special children’s events of the Elks such as Easter, Halloween, and Christmas. Charitable Fundraisers: Our most treasured charitable event is the Louise Davison Golf Tournament held the fourth Saturday in September of each year. This tournament has raised tens of thousands of dollars for OU Stephenson Cancer Center and to the Saint Francis Children Oncology Ward. In recognition of the established endowment, the OU Stephenson Cancer Center in Oklahoma City has dedicated several rooms with the names of several fallen sisters of the BA Lady Elks. (We will provide pics of the Cancer Center and golf tournament.) Each year our Vegas Night raises funds for high school senior scholarships. The evening includes many gaming tables such as Black Jack, Texas Hold ‘Em, roulette, craps, and poker. Prizes go to highest winners. Duties: We also support the Veterans through Coweta DAV and a needy family each month through our donations with Broken Arrow Neighbor to Neighbor. Business: The ladies support the lodge hall rentals by providing a catering service. If you enjoy cooking, baking, or are able to help in the kitchen during events, please contact our catering coordinator, Anita Babcock at (918) 381-4513 to place yourself on a call list for availability.
