25th Anniversary, October 22, 1945

The Lodge celebrated their 25th Anniversary at the Masonic Temple on Park Avenue. More than 300 were in attendance. The meeting was preceded by a turkey banquet at the Masonic Temple, served by the Star of Liberty Chapter, OES. After dinner the Elks adjourned to the Elks Room on Park Avenue for a program of entertainment. Henry VanVeghten, was the exalted ruler at the time. Dr. W. John Maby, local physician and the first exalted ruler of the lodge was honorary chairman. The entertainment in the club rooms included piano selections by Floyd Walters; vocal solo by Charles Blanchard; feats of legerdemain by Harold Vines and numbers by a vocal trio comprising Thomas Loffin, Richard Fisher and Doc Taylor. Music for the occasion was donated by Local 318, American Federal of Musicians directed by Fred Amodeo.
