West Virginia State Elks Association

West Virginia Elks Association

I would like to thank the West Virginia Elks Association members for their confidence and support in allowing me to serve as State President for the 2023-2024 Elk Year. I am excited and looking forward to the challenges of working with state officers, committees, and members as well as each local lodge to have a successful year. We should always have in our minds and promote the Cardinal principles of our order Charity, Justice, Brotherly Love, and Fidelity. We as a state association can all be proud of our members for their hard work and commitment to the Order of Elks and the assistance we offer to the needy people we serve. WV has been on an uphill trend across the board with our charitable contributions, programs for our youth, and veterans, and all of the community investment projects in each lodge. I am very proud and excited to come in as President with our state in such good condition. As the Elks National Foundation Chairman since 2016. I have seen the increases with our fundraising at the local level and again this past year each of the eighteen lodges met the Grand Exalted Ruler giving goal. WV also had a great year with CIP Grants received at the local lodges. We also had a great year increasing our membership and really need to stay focused all year and break the membership totals each year. Increasing membership increases our numbers across the board. My slogan is “Grow Membership with Community Involvement “. Initiate and Reinstate members each month and have a record-breaking year for membership growth. I’m asking each lodge to continue to grow membership, meet the GER giving goal early, apply for all CIP and Adopt-A-Veteran Grants, and continue our uphill trend and break all past records. Communication is key with all committee chairs and members working together to better their committee and we can boost all of our programs and aid in our communities in West Virginia. In closing let me thank all of the past and present Grand Lodge sponsors, State Association Past state Presidents, Trustees, Advisors, Officers, and all of the WV Elks who encouraged and guided me over the past several years. Being the son of a past State President, I fully understand my role as President and will do my best to uphold the honor and dignity this position requires. I am extremely grateful to everyone for your continued support. The WV Elks Association is now 115 years old and 18 lodges strong and will continue to be a vital partner in the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the United States of America. Please feel free to contact me for business or friendship at any time.

Fraternally yours, Jeffrey 'Jeff" Cionni, President www.wvelks.org
