Winter has just about left our neck of the woods, and the geese are heading back to the north country. Its warming up and maple sap is starting to run. Can’t wait to have some fresh New York State maple syrup!

YESTERDAY THE BRASS AT ABC NEWS ISSUED ORDERS FORBIDDING REPORTERS TO WEAR LAPEL PIN AMERICAN FLAGS OR OTHER PATRIOTIC INSIGNIA. THEIR REASONING WAS THAT ABC SHOULD REMAIN NEUTRAL ABOUT 'CAUSES'.
SINCE WHEN IS SUP P ORT FOR PREVENTING DEATH AND DESTRUCTION SOME SORT OF A 'CAUSE'? SINCE WHEN IS PATRIOTISM TO BE DISCOURAGED?
I URGE YOU TO BOYCOTT ABC AND ITS SPONSORS AND AFFILIATES. WE ARE SLOWLY LOSING EVERYTHING OUR COUNTRY STANDS FOR AND EVERYTHING OUR MEN AND WOMEN FOUGHT AND DIED TO PRESERVE!

Just sent an email to harjdfos@aol.com requesting info on motorhome parking.
Looking forward to a visit up your way in June. Our lodge was destroyed in Katrina (1 mile from the gulf) but we have been up and running in rented quarters in a small strip mall about 1 mile away. Have taken over all of the strip except for a liquor store on the end. Come see us. Bar open 11Am to 11PM weekdays, 8:30Am Saturday and Sunday.

Gentlemen: I would like to thank you for your warm hospitality you exibited to my wife Ginny and I on our vacation to Penn Dutch County this past August. Although I am a trustee of my lodge I am still a relativly new member. Your lodge was very impressive with great participation of your members and such a beautiful historic building. We had fun! It’s great to see other Elks Lodges using the web. Our Lodge 1446 is also on the Elks page, please drop by and sign our guest book. We also have our own web page listed as: www.duncanelksclub.org. We have a 18 hole golf course, pro shop, ballroom, dining room, swimming pool, card room, lounge, and 19th hole.
