Sue Nile named Citizen of the Year
The Sebasticook Valley Elks Lodge 2013-14 Citizen of the Year is Sue Nile of Pittsfield, the elementary physical education teacher for School Administrative District 53.
In addition to being one of the most respected teachers in the community, Mrs. Nile also organizes a Veteran’s Day celebration for her students each year. The youngsters, carrying small American flags, march from the school to Veterans’ Park in downtown Pittsfield and participate in the patriotic observance each year.
She also encourages students and faculty to support the town’s community food bank and other charitable causes.
