West Shore Elks has launched a historical repository for pictures, awards and documents.

The information is divided into several categories with folders for the events listed by year.
- Activities – going back to 1991, this folder has picnics and dances for almost every reason.
- Destination USA – Any member who visits another Elks Lodge and forwards their picture will be added to the Destination USA. We’re trying to collect pictures from all 50 states.
- Elks Riders – Our new adjunct organization. The only pictures so far are the from the Patch In ceremony. But I’m sure more great pictures are on the way.
- Flag Day – One of the two required ceremonies every Elks lodge must perform. This year our Flag Day will performed for the public. The ceremony will be a ‘must attend’ and the pictures will be a ‘must see’.
- Lodge History – This folder includes pictures of the original Lodge, Ol’ Smokey, ground breaking for the new, current, Lodge and the building of the pavilion.
- Home Service Events – Few events are more rewarding than the Home Service Events including the Easter Egg Hunt and the Christmas party.
- Leadership – Leadership through the years, including Installation of officers from years past including the 1992 National Convention in Dallas Texas.
- Veterans Service – The second required event every Elks must perform is the Veteran’s Appreciation Luncheon. But there are so many other Veterans’ events, with more to come.
- Youth Activities – Hoop Shoot, Children’s Breakfast with Santa and more.
- Miscellaneous – This is our category for pictures where the date, event is unknown.
Pictures were donated from Annie Olberg, Michele Ziemba and more. If you have pictures from the past, just email [email protected]. We’ll get them scanned in for everyone to enjoy. With the new repository, members can download pictures, order prints or order t-shirts, mugs and other novelty items.
