Elks announce 2021 Most Valuable Student Scholarship opportunity

The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks recently announced that the application window for the 2022 Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship for high school seniors is open effective Aug. 2. 

The MVS scholarship contest is open to any high school senior who is a U.S. citizen. The Elks National Foundation will award a total of 500 four-year scholarships ranging from $4,000 to $50,000 for a total of $2,440,000. Other smaller awards may be given at the local district and state levels. This is to be determined.  

Winners at the national level will be announced in late March 2022. 

Eligibility criteria is: 

  • Current high school seniors, or the equivalent, who are citizens of the U.S. are eligible to apply. 
  • Applicants do not need to be related to a member of the Elks. 
  • High school graduates are not eligible to apply. 
  • Applicants must be citizens of the U.S. on the date their applications are submitted; permanent legal resident status does not qualify. 

Student applicants must apply online by Nov. 15.
