Our Programs

Among the community activities and philanthropic pursuits of the Walnut Creek Elks are the following:
Boy Scouts & Girl Scouts - To provide the Troops/Units with a safe meeting environment and with the support necessary to be successful.
Hoop Shoot - Open to all boys and girls ages 8 through 13, shares the Elks’ common goal for youth activities: to keep children occupied with positive, character-building role models and activities; to provide alternatives to drug use; and simply to have fun.
Major Project – To support physical therapy for children in need through members’ donations of $10 or more per year in the Purple Pig.
Scholarships - To provide (through The Elks National Foundation) more than $3.64 million in college scholarships each year to these and other awards:

  • Most Valuable Student Scholarships.
  • Legacy Awards.
  • Emergency Educational Grant.
Soccer Shoot - Open to all boys and girls ages 7 and under through 13, shares the common Elks’ goal for youth activities (see Hoop Shoot).
