I've been browsing the Elks.org site, looking for new public relations ideas for our lodge and the Maine Elks Association.

Your newsletter is great! It has a nice layout and is filled with timely news and event coverage.

Congratulations to the editor and whoever else is involved with the project.

Greetings from Prescott, AZ Lodge #330 "Mother Lodge of Arizona". In December of 1895 a group of enterprising businessmen in Prescott, sturdy products of the early west, charted the original petition for a dispensation and later established the Prescott Lodge. Prescott and Prescott Valley, Arizona, located about 90 miles northwest of Phoenix. With our mile high elevation (5230 ft), the cities enjoy a four-season climate with both mild winters and summers. from Somerville, NJ, Lodge #1068

I was visiting my in-laws last week from New Jersey and stopped by your Elks chapter one night with the intention of relaxing by reading a football magazine and to have a drink or two. Well I never read one sentence of the magazine because the members there were so great. Made me feel right at home with some real southern hospitality. I met Logan, Tim, Knox and I think Al & Dave. Great guys all. Logan & Tim help pass the night away by us trading Arkansas/New Jersey and Elk stories. Knox presented me with a hand crafted “Knox Box” about an hour after meeting him. Thanx again Knox, greatly appreciated. Logan gave me a tour and I was impressed with how nice the lodge was, almost as nice as the members. Just wanted to say thanks and if ever any of you are in Central New Jersey, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me so I can return the favor. Just down from Palmer,Alaska to visit our Mountain View kin folks enroute to the National Convention in Orlando. Thought I'd surf the web a minute and see why it's so hard to find an ELK's Lodge. Seems they're a little few and far between. Not too different from AK. Wish I had some spare to time to visit each one. Tell the ER to look me up in the Hospitality room. I'll save a dog pin!

Great State Convention. Wonderful time had by all who attended even if we did not win the Fat Wallet contest nor any of the other wonderful prizes.

Your Lodge stands tall just as it should. Hats off to all of you who made this such a special event.
