In April 2012, Elks scholars across the nation are uniting in service during the Elks Scholar Month of Service. Throughout April, Elks scholars will get together in their areas to serve their communities.
We challenge each Elks scholar to get involved in the 2012 Elks Scholar Month of Service.
Click here to see a full list of campus and community leaders already in place. Don't worry if your campus or community does not yet have a leader yet. We will make sure you can get involved and help your community!
Here is how you can get involved:- Share. Browse the service ideas listed and submit a new service idea.
- Give. Offer your leadership skills by becoming a campus point person to take charge of your campus’ service efforts. Planning the Month of Service takes time, so sign up today!
- Join. Sign up to participate in the Elks Scholar Month of Service on your campus, and come together with Elks scholars across the U.S.
Getting together with Elks scholars in your area for the 2012 Elks Scholar Month of Service is a great way to help your community while building friendships with fellow Elks scholars.
During the month of service, we encourage you to send in photos, videos and descriptions of your service activities. You may be featured online, and will be eligible to win a $100 grant to be donated to the nonprofit organization of your choice. This information must be received by May 1, 2012.
The $100 grants will be awarded to the groups with the most Elks scholar participation, most creative project and best video submitted. Winners will be announced in early May 2012.
