The Tennessee Elks Benevolent Trust, TEBT, is a non-profit Tennessee Corporation which provides nursing scholarships for those attending nursing schools in Tennessee. TEBT is a permanent Financial Corpus and all contributions are held forever in the Trust- investment earnings are used to provide the nursing scholarships.
Scholarship applicants should be a high school senior or graduate either accepted, applying or attending an accredited school of Nursing in Tennessee. Applications are available in early October with awards being announced in April or early May. TEBT awards $1,500 scholarships which are renewable each year for a total of four years if the student maintains a B average. The top four winners in the state receive a $2,000 first year award in honor of Tennessee's special Elks such as PGER E.W. McCabe, deceased, and PGER Ted Callicott.
