Healthy Head Start—Celebrate the Elks Drug Awareness Program
October is ENF Month—a time to celebrate and promote the Elks National Foundation and ENF program successes. Here are the top five ways to get involved with the Elks Drug Awareness Program!
  1. Celebrate Red Ribbon Week. From October 23 to 31, Elks join in the national Red Ribbon Week celebration, educating communities across the country about the dangers of alcohol and drug use and abuse. Show your support of strong, drug-free communities by getting involved in the celebration!
  2. Promote drug awareness. Encourage healthy living at Lodge events! ENF grant projects, Hoop Shoot contests, Lodge open houses, and other events that involve the community are great opportunities to share the Elks’ drug-free message.

  3. Lead by example. A stronger community starts with you! Committing to lead a healthy lifestyle helps you stay active in the community while also ensuring a bright future for our youth by being a positive role model.

  4. Share Life Lessons. Did you know that, as the national spokesperson for the Drug Awareness Program, Milton “Bigg Milt” Creagh travels across the country each year to share a powerful drug awareness and anti-bullying message with students.   5. Donate. Support the Elks National Drug Awareness Program through a one-time or recurring gift to the ENF. Designating your gift to the to the Drug Awareness Program Fund ensures that your gift helps youth stay on the right path.
