Standing on the Front Line
Veterans returning home can have a tough time transitioning back into everyday life. Thanks to the Elks from Helena, Mont., Lodge No. 193, life for local veterans in need just got a little easier. Using a Community Investments Program Beacon Grant, Elks held a Stand Down to provide food, supplies and more to local homeless veterans. Elks partnered with local VA hospitals, churches and grocery stores to show the vets they have the support of the entire community.

Watch this short video, detailing all the Helena Lodge’s Stand Down had to offer veterans in need.

Through Beacon Grants, the Elks National Foundation gives Lodges the opportunity to develop an ongoing, charitable, Elks-driven community project. These $2,000 grants are available to all Lodges.
