Work for a dynamic charitable foundation in the heart of Lincoln Park that funds programs that instill integrity in our youth, inspire the pursuit of knowledge and make the community a healthier, safer and better place to live.

We have an opening for a Programs Associate at our headquarters location in Chicago, Illinois. The Programs Associate will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships with program recipients and alumni, with an emphasis on outreach through new technologies and social networking. Responsibilities primarily include: outreach; program planning; writing for internal publications; implementing program goals and objectives; maintaining program Web pages; and database management.

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and one year experience, preferably in a nonprofit setting. In addition, we are looking for a self-starter with the ability to work independently on multiple projects, with excellent follow through; strong organization and communications skills; proficiency in the Microsoft Office applications and with social networking Web sites, i.e. Facebook & MySpace; strong interest in new technologies; ability to work well in group settings; and strong attention to detail.
