The Redlands Elks Lodge and the Redlands Friends of Shelter Animals will host Microchip Madness and a pet adoption fair Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Elks Lodge, 663 New York St., Redlands.
Thanks to a grant from the Elks National Foundation, pet adoption fees at the event will be reduced to $16.
In addition, the Elks Lodge has donated 100 pet microchips for Redlands residents who bring up to two pets. An Animal Control officer will be on hand to safely implant the microchips in the pets. People must bring proof of residency for their pets to receive the free microchips.
