The Tools to Build a Stronger Community

The Community Investments Program invests in Elks communities through Beacon, Gratitude, Promise and Impact Grants. For 2014-15, the ENF budgeted $8.68 million in Lodge grants—a 2,300 percent increase since the CIP began.

ENF Scholarships—Most Valuable Student scholarships, Legacy Awards, and Emergency Educational Grants—contribute to the futures of college-bound students in Elks’ communities. In late April, the top 20 MVS finalists will participate in the inaugural MVS Leadership Weekend, vying for top scholarships ranging from $30,000 to $50,000.

In 1946, the Elks Hoop Shoot started on a playground in Corvallis, Ore. This year, the Hoop Shoot continues to give youth the opportunity to compete in healthy competition, connect with their families and communities, and succeed on and off the court. This season will come to a close on April 12 at the National Finals in Springfield, Mass.

The Elks National Drug Awareness Program is dedicated to eliminating the use and abuse of illegal drugs so youth can succeed. When it is released in April, the Elks will use the new Elks Drug Awareness Program and Marvel comic Never Alone, featuring the Avengers and Elroy the Elk, to build a healthy environment by teaching kids how to stand up to bullies and be good friends.
